There are free Christmas concerts, shows, and events including the Sparks Hometowne Christmas Celebration, the Holiday Gingerbread Festival at the Wilbur D. May Center, and the Lights of Tanea. Whether you are interested in Christmas lights, music, or finding a unique handmade craft for that special Christmas gift, Christmas in Nevada is fun for all ages.  Read on to find out more.

Sparks Hometowne Christmas Celebration

This year’s theme is “It’s Happening Here All Year Round: A Celebration of Our Hometowne Events!” The Sparks Hometowne Christmas Celebration includes the annual Christmas Parade, the Tree Lighting Ceremony, Santa’s Village, Craft Faire, Community Faire, the City of Sparks Toy Drive, the 39North Pole Musical Mistletoe Stage, and don’t forget the Ugly Sweater Run.

Enjoy a holiday light show complete with synchronized music. Lights of Tanea collects non-perishable food items for Evelyn Mount’s Outreach Program, and cash donations and reusable clothing for Friends of Multiple Sclerosis.
