Reno’s largest County park, Rancho San Rafael exists largely through the contributions of philanthropist Wilbur D. May. You can forget you’re in the city with the many spacious green fields that host a plethora of events including the Great balloon Race, weddings, and company picnics. With an assortment of pavilions and gazebos you can choose what best fits your event or mood.  The park offers full picnic facilities and houses the Wilbur May Museum, the arboretum and botanical gardens.  The flume ride, pony rides, play grounds (including the dinosaur playground), and petting zoo are available to entertain the kids, and there’s frisbee golf for older members of the group.  Got dogs?
