Floss At Least Once A Day
When you floss, you clear away food particles and bacteria that are wedged between teeth, making them harder to reach when you brush. Brushing alone might leave these spaces unaddressed, and leave you with stubborn tartar between your teeth. You could find yourself learning about a cavity in one of those difficult spaces, and needing a dental filling at your next checkup.
Good Brushing Habits
A few half-hearted strokes of a toothbrush across your teeth is not enough to effectively protect your teeth. Be sure to fully clean your teeth, and take time – a good brushing session should take about two minutes. Effective brushing two times a day can help keep you from suffering tooth decay.
Pay Attention To Your Gums, Too
You may think of brushing and flossing as protection for your teeth, but keeping your mouth clean also protects your gums. If you suspect your gums are not healthy, talk to your dentist – a Perio Tray can target a periodontal infection.
