A private, non-profit cultural organization, the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts is the largest performing arts facility in northern Nevada. Listed in the Nevada State Register of Historic Places as well as the National Register, the 1,500-seat venue strives to facilitate some of the highest quality performing arts programs in northern Nevada. As host to over 100 events annually, the center draws over 150,000 people from the Reno, Sparks, and rural areas on a yearly basis. Home of the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra and A.V.A. Ballet Theatre, the center also hosts its own Broadway Comes to Reno series.
The center’s Pioneer Center Youth Programs reach out to community youth by providing a variety of educational programs to excite and nurture a love for the performing arts.
