Reno, NV Dentists Explain How You Can Whiten Teeth in One Visit
Posted October 21, 2013 by Wager-Evans Dental
What is the quickest way to enhance your smile? The answer is simple: teeth whitening. Whiter, brighter teeth not only improve your smile and overall appearance, but can affect you socially and professionally. A dazzling smile helps make a great first impression during job interviews, and with white teeth come a burst of confidence that will help you seem more approachable and self-assured in social situations. Your Reno dentists, Dr. William Wager and Dr. Brian Evans offer several teeth whitening procedures in their office, including Sinsational Smile and Sapphire by Rembrandt.
Sinsational Smile
Sinsational Smile would be the ideal teeth-whitening solution for the person with limited time, as this system is specifically designed to whiten teeth in about twenty minutes. This procedure can even be done during a lunch break or between meetings. Sinsational Smile uses a pre-filled silicone tray. You place the comfortable tray onto your teeth, like a mouth-guard. Then, an LED light activates the whitening gel and accelerates the results. You may experience a slight tingling as a side-effect, but this tingling subsides once the tray has been removed and the procedure is complete. It does not require as many applications as other teeth-whiteners, and it takes about half the time as most other in-office solutions. You will also take home whitening pen to help maintain and extend your bright, white, beautiful smile.
Sapphire by Rembrant
Unlike Sinsational Smile, this procedure does not require a mouth tray. Though it takes a bit longer, you can expect a noticeable difference in the brightness and whiteness of your teeth. This process takes approximately an hour, and patients notice a lightening of about ten shades. This procedure consists of a hydrogen-peroxide gel activated by a light. This system is very powerful, and will completely erase most stains without irritating your gums, teeth, or the supporting tissue, so it is ideal for patients with sensitive teeth.
