New Years Shows, gambling, and all kinds of partying can be found in Reno for the adult this New Year’s Eve, but are you looking for family oriented ways to ring in the New Year? If so, Reno hasn’t forgotten about you. Read on to found out ways to ring in the New Year with your family in the Reno/Sparks area.

New Year’s Eve

What: Wild Island Family Adventure Park

Where: 250 Wild Island Ct., Sparks, NV 89434

Admission: East Coast Celebration Package $90; West Coast Celebration Package $80

Ring in the New Year with your family at the Wild Island Family Adventure Park. Tickets include unlimited bowling, pizza, soda, and two free attraction tickets. There are two Celebration Packages to choose from:

  • East Coast Celebration Package: December 31st from 7:30 to 9:30pm includes one 14 inch pizza, 1 pitcher of soda, 1 lane of unlimited bowling, 2 pick-one free attraction tickets.
  • West Coast Celebration Package: December 31st from 10:30pm to 12:30am includes one 14 inch pizza, 1 pitcher of soda, 1 lane of unlimited bowling, 2 pick-one free attraction tickets.

What: New Year’s Eve Party at Squaw Valley

Where: Squaw Valley’s Olympic House

About: Torchlight Parade at 6:30pm; Fireworks at 7pm

For Ages 21 and Over

There is a myriad of things to do in Reno on New Year’s Eve from taking in a show, visiting a casino, attending one of the many New Year’s Eve parties, to culminating with the fireworks from casino rooftops at midnight. Take your pick.

Be Safe with Tipsy Tow

AAA will be offering “Tipsy Tow” from 6pm New Year’s Eve through 6am New Year’s Day even for non-members. Vehicles will be towed up to 10 miles free of charge to keep you from driving while “tipsy.”
